Well, I’m back from the Melbourne show, the clock is just hitting 7PM. The show was pretty fun, went on the roller coaster, in the rain which made it feel even faster. Got some lolly showbags and saw a few friends there as well.
Well, now I’m back I’m going to get back onto my website and hopefully get it done tonight.
Alright folks, the main focus of a tutorial site is for people to write and read tutorials, so, that features works on the site along with some other features so I am going to release a BETA 0.01 version of the site with BETA 0.09 expected to be released at the end of the week. A whole bunch of features aren’t working yet but very shortly will be.
So, the tutorial site is going to be released sometime within the next 24 hours if everything is pretty much set, remember though, V0.01.
You will see an edit in <<this spot>> once the site is available to the public
EDIT: I am going to the Melbourne Show for a few hours, probably most of the rest of the day so the release is going to be delayed by about 5 or so hours, I started and worked on the forums section for about an hour and a half last night and they are near 50% complete so give me about, ’til 10 - 11PM tonight, it is currently 12 noon.
Wow, boy oh boy has hostmonsters support failed me today, here is what happened - and don’t get me wrong, they do have a great service, I think I have just been unlucky today.
Alright, I go into cPanel and then into fantastico, it says wordpress is installed on aussieferal.com, I tell him to change it to christheferal.com and he deletes it from fantastico, not the actual site but just the install info so now I can’t update wordpress as easily.
The other thing is that it said drupal was installed on gigabytetv.com and it isn’t, I asked him to remove it and he did, after 40 minutes.
I checked, oh wait, he only told me he removed it, it wasn’t removed. I then asked him to remove it, waited 5 mins for a reply and then say hello?? in case he has forgotten me and he said he was waiting for me??? WTF????
Eventually he removed it, and now I’m trying to install wordpress on the gigabytetv.com site and I can’t, he has screwed around with my cpanel and now I can’t install apps using fantastico. That’s just great fantastico!
I am now being told that I may need to restore a backup by another person, whom I am getting a lot more help from.
Anyway, I’ll keep you updated and fix my spelling later on if there are any typos etc.

Alright everything pretty much works now, the person I was put through to helped me out a bunch, thoguh, I will never be able to upgrade wordpress via fantastico… so that kind of sucks but oh well, I can live with that
That’s right, it just clicked in my head today, gigabyte tv, great name, ‘eh? well I got gigabytetv.com.
I’m going to do gadget reviews and tech podcasts if I get the time.

Alright, I’m back from holiday, I actually went to Sovereign Hill which was really great fun, I’ll have some pictures of the holiday after the release of TutNation.com (the tutorial site I have been working on) which I think I may just have a date for this right now.
The new expected release date is 2nd of October if everything goes to plan.
I can’t wait to show you it.
TutNation.com is coming along well, I wont be able to work on it for about three - five days as I am doing other things but I will get it done ASAP.
The progress bars in the top right of the site haven’t been updated, so please note that the tutorial site is about 65 - 70%
This is something sad and also sorta funny at the same time that I found while browsing break.com. I’m pretty sure it was a lake underneath them, they might have survived…
