Well, I can’t remember if I had posted about this or not by a few weeks ago I sold my phone to my sister, it is her birthday coming up so I only sold it for $400, not going to get in to details about 3 and that but it is pretty much sorted out.
So, I’ve got $400 plus money that I am earning from my sites, not much (at the moment as there haven’t been many updates) but a bit extra pocket money to save up for the N81!
I’m not sure which one to get, N81 or N81 8GB.
N81 - has a card slot where you can put upto 4GB mini or micro SD (not sure) cards which means I can carry around my SD converter or usb SD adapter.
N81 8GB - No slot but 8GB of memory which means I need to carry around a usb cord if I need to connect it to a computer.
Then again, it also has WiFi, BlueTooth 2.0 with A2DP (wireless stereo headsets will work) and inferead, so I can pretty much transfer anything to a modern laptop these days, or upload it to my site.
The only thing I don’t like about the phone is the fact that it is VGA video recording with 15FPS, I really love having a camera in my pocket in an all-in-one device that has good camera quality for shooting video, and I know what a lot of you are thinking… “It’s only a phone camera”… whoop-dee-doo, it will do me for what I want to use it for.
This time I am not going to fall into a trap with any phone companies, I’m going to buy it outright and go on pre-paid which also means I don’t get charged on top of my bill for services like Jamster (although I don’t use them, it may come in handy).
A list of things I’d like to mention about the phone:
- It has a standard 3.5 headphone jack instead of those annoying pop-ports that come loose every time you take a step.
- It has a switch to lock your keypad, YAY! No more accidental unlocking and calling.
- N-Gage gaming
- Nokia Music store has been added, much like the iPhon, Ipod experience.
- Expected to be around $900 - $1,000 USD and released on the 28th of November (29th for Aussies.)

EDIT: Maybe I should get the N95 8GB.. hmmmm… Well with CES and 3GSM coming up I think I might wait a little while and see what new phones computers Nokia is going to introduce
