Hi, just to let you know in this quick update, I will be streaming on SATURDAY the 26th for as long as I can, until then, there might not be many updates.

Anyway, where am I? Where have I been lateley no videos or anything, well, to tell you the truth, I am going to try and record them and get them uploaded very soon but I also have a MASSIVE project going on in the background (one where I needed this computer to do this project) and when I say MASSIVE project, I mean MASSIVE, I am not going to tell you much about it, just know that I am busy as well, if this project is a success, you’ll probably see me on the news in a few months.

Anyway, that’s it for now, just thought I’d let you know.

Well, today was different to what I thoguht it was going to be, we got a new coffe table, dining table and out door table and had to do a whole bunch of other things too, I didn’t get to do the live stream, so I am not exactly sure what to do now, the 26th would work out well for the stream, I’ll try to do an 8 hour stream if possible so that people from around the world can tune in, really sorry about today, I had no idea this was going to happen.

So Telstra, I tihnk it’s time for the user to stand up to the ISP, so you know what, I am uploding all the calls, with edited audio so you can’t sue me (yes, even with your thousands of lawyers just raking in all the money from the lawsuits you have.)

We called last week to get the disconnected problem fixed, you said you were sending out techies (this is the second time you said you were) and whadda you know, not even a record of that. Called last night, techies will be here at the exchange and fixing it.

Apparently we are meant to be getting up to about 16mbps from you as we are under 2km from the exchange, yet we get 6.5 due to your shitty line quality (45 DBs) - it seems as if we started on 8mbps and have gone down to 6.5, yet are paying for 20 (oh yeah, where is that $40 you owe us? It’s been two months now)

Look, we pay for a service, if you don’t give us at least mediocore level service and you claim to have the BEST service in Australia… either that or you claim to be really good or choose your words in your adverts so that the user thinks that you guys are the best service in Australia… Basically, if you don’t give us that service, we are entitled for a refund, without any cancelation fee, as well.. we haven’t received the service you claim to provide.
If we don’t get a refund, I am going to do the right thing and show Aussies what they are REALLY in for when you guys say “SERVICE” - no, I’m not trying to hurt your business, I am trying to show you that we are what drives your business and if you lie to us, then why can’t we lie to you (though we haven’t,) I think it’s time that we show the country, or the people across the globe who know how shitty your service has been, just what service you have given us (not the one we paid for)

Telstra… this is your last chance, I am going to email you a link to all the posts as Mathhew recomended and if we don’t receive a refund OR 300gb of bandwidth on a 24mbps connection (with the average speed of 14mbps or more) then I am going to upload the calls… and don’t think that because I am 15 nobody will beleive me or they won’t take it seriously, because if you just listen to your calls which you record and then think that, you’d have to be an absolute idiot… Just because you are hiding behind your phone network, doesn’t mean you can get away with what you have done.

Our 1Mbps because this sure isn’t as fast as it used to be, and it is 7am… hardly anybody would be on their computers, unless everybody left utorrent on overnight..

Oh, by the way Telstra, no email, no call, you didn’t tell us the billing date was changing as your “very nice on the phone to hang up on customers” idiot told me.

Oh and you still haven’t fixed this disconnection problem, month #7 now… it’s great to be a Telstra customer..

To anybody who has emailed me and not got a response, please wait until I get my speed back up, I have literally hundreds of emails and PM’s on youtube asking for help, and I really can’t keep up with it, especially not on dial up, plus, at the moment, I am not getting paid to help you folks, so please, if you email me, it may be a while before you get a reply.

I wasn’t expecting hundreds to tell you the truth, but now that I know just how many people want to learn PHP and out of the very small audience who actually watched my tutorials (small compared to how many people in the whole world want to learn) I have a bit of motivation to do these tutorials and help out.

So, what am I going to do, I can’t answer every one of your emails - it’s surprising, I actually get more emails and pm’s than comments on the actual video, understandably though as you need to paste code in your message.

So, what I am thinking is this, a weekly live stream - roughly 5 hours or there abouts, where I can show you how to do things, not necessarily help out with your code but show you how to do things - as you probably don’t want your code read out to the whole world.

I am also thinking, that for general code fixing rather than a full tutorial, people can pay me a small fee to fix their code, I am thinking about charging by time as it is the most sensible way to do it, I’ve looked and the up and down sides to both charging by time, charging by file etc, and by time is seriously the most sensible way to do it, though I am not going to be an asshole and say something that takes me 5 minutes took me 30 mins - I guess you are just going to have to trust me on that one, its not like I’m going to charge much anyway, probably $5 per 30 minutes to fix code, and if it takes me 5 minutes to fix, then I’ll probably not even charge you..

The CMS tutorial files download, I was originally thinking $10 for the CMS, but now I am thinking $25 - still cheaper than a DVD. My reasoning behind this is that people pay $1000’s for a CMS, depending on the size of the company, and $10 seems as if I am ripping my self off, so $25 it is, plus, I need to save up for a dedicated server as my shared hosting might not be able to keep up with the massive file downloads of the HD video content, depending how popular it gets, and that means I have to pay 20 times more a month, meaning.. I need to save big time.

Note, if you sponsor me, you get 10% off the downloads - meaning, instead of $25, its around about $22.50 - that works out to, basically, $2.50 for your advert, and if you download two different loads of files, that means you’ve saved money, depending on the prices of the files.

So, $25 gets you this

The design .psd files, the html, css, php, mysql queries to run, as I can’t actually give you the database, so if you have mysql set up, you copy and paste the query and BOOM, your database is ready to go, you basically get everything in the tutorial, except you don’t need to code or design (unless you feel like designing) it yourself.

All in all, you really need to just copy the files that you’ve downloaded, onto your website, run the query (very simple) and your website is done, for $25.

The tutorial and no files, learning should always be free… and no, sorry, I am not allowing people to have the files for free if they think they can learn from just looking at the code - I know you can, but you can look at the code in the tutorials

I hope that all made sense, I kinda had to rush this post, tell me what you think about the ideas

$5 per 30 mins isn’t much to ask - and if you give me 2 files to do in the 30 mins, and I do get them done in 30 mins, then you don’t have to pay two lots of $5, as you might would if you were to give me the codes on seperate days. Hope that makes sense.

Hi folks, I just thought I’d mention, you can have your 5-10 seconds video advert played for $5 a month, basically, if you pay $5 for 1 month, all the videos made and uploaded in that month will have your advert at the start and end of the video for ever! The videos will have the right to be taken down of youtube, but only if I REALLY need to, if this is the case, you will get an advert placed in the next video I upload.

Hope that makes sense, so you get 2 x your 5-10 second advert, can be a video or an image for $5 a month, if you prepay for 12 months, you pay $4 a month, meaning $12 off the price, $5 x 12 = $60 - $12 = $48

1 month = $5 a month ($60 over 12 months)
12 months = $4 a month ($48 over 12 months)

Not only do you get an advert on my videos, but you also get a link to your site on my sponsors block on the left/right hand-side (might change if I change the layout.)

But wait.. There is MORE!

Good news, I am starting the tutorials within the next couple days (not today as I only got 2 hours sleep - installing the adobe suite) and they will hopefully be uploaded on the 14th.

Telstra have also told me that they are fixing the disconnection problem (yay, not an Indian this time) and it should be done within the next 48 hours with possibilities of no internet for long periods of time - doesn’t matter, its slow as fuck anyway.

So that’s the good news, I also have something else I want to mention - HDX video will probably be up on the 14th too.

Bigpond, how the hell are we to know whether you have changed our billing date on us again when you have removed our billing date from the bloody website!?!!

This is bullpond bigshit… I mean bullshit bigpond. I think Michael Hossen was right, Big Pond, Little Service.

Here is a screenshot for proof - (un?)fortunately, they have put the billing date back on, I never got to check the official billing date page as I left this tab open over a few hours and didn’t realise that there was no billing date mentioned on this page until later that night… Even so, their website shouldn’t be this dodgy (than again, the connection is even worse, so I guess it’s not THAT bad compared to the rest of the service, even though it is terrible)

You do not what this means folks? We don’t get charged for this month - at least, according to their website we don’t, and their website acts just as bigger part as if a person at telstra told me a lie, which when I call Telstra back up and tell the person what the OTHER person at Telstra told me, I’d always be the liar, it’s never Telstra’s fault, which means, this wasn’t Telstra’s mistake (as they are supposedly never wrong or liars,) which means, they aren’t lying, which means we have free internet… I hope that made sense, it should, read it again if it didn’t.
