I was thinking, because I know there are a few trolls out there (not going to mention websites because they don’t deserve even one hit) that don’t really like me, maybe I should get rid of the poll.
I mean, think about it, the poll allows them to give false votes to annoy me with the click of two buttons.
If I want to know a real answer to a question, I’ll ask you folks to comment, this way I don’t get trolls commenting.

Well, I’ve finally moved host, FTP speeds are up and the website is loading faster for me at least, so I’m happy at the moment

Please note that if you see this message and then 20 mins later, it disappears, that means you are looking at the old host again, any comments etc posted during that time will be lost in the intertubes and will not be carried over to this host, it’s unlikely that you will see the old host’s version of the site again, but it’s possible.

Hi folks, I’m going to be moving (at least a couple websites, but including ChrisTheFeral.com) web host over to DreamHost (yes, I’m giving them another shot due to great reviews and the uptime my friends site has had.) So hopefully within the next 48 hours you should be experiencing faster speeds (unfortunatly the occasional drop out while the DNS updates) and I have some tricks that I can do with this host that many other hosts don’t allow you to do, at least, not shared hosts, *cough*FFmpeg*cough* so, this means on the fly flv conversions for my new websites, YAY!!!!!

This is an exciting and nervous move at the same time, so make sure to check back regulary, if you see a psot saying I have moved, that means you are looking at my site from the Dreamhost server, not the Hostmonster server (current host) but if there is no site at all for a few days, just come back soon, I might be back with hostmonster :p

Ok, I haven’t spent that much time looking at tutorials, but I must either be really lucky to have a brain that just understands this stuff, or AJAX is much more easy than I first though.

Yes, yes, I’m still learning, but gee, I’m getting far in a short amount of time

I’m glad that there are scripts such as Jquery out there to help save time, I don’t see this as taking a short cut, I see it as a smart cut. Time is the one thing you can’t get a refund on.

Alright, so today I installed a couple new plugins, only two of them are visible to the public, the other 2 I’m not using at the moment, but might in the future (count down timer and post rating out of 5 stars)
So now you can see a poll on the right hand side which I’ll update every so often just to get your opinion on something and what not.
You may also notice a new ajax commenting system that also allows the user who is commenting a little while to edit their comment if need be!

What I mean is, whenever you go to a website, do you expect the website to have AJAX functionality? By the way, when I say AJAX functionality, I mean moving bits of the website around, cool animations when you expand a block etc, like iGoogle.

The reason why I am asking this is one, I need to know whether I should expand my knowledge of javascript and two, can you live without it?

I’m just wondering because I want to make my upcoming sites a hit, I just dunno whether to have them with cool animations and what not.

Well, although we have been overcharged over 4gb usage this month that we haven’t used.. in THIS month, Telstra seemed to have fixed our internet d/c issue with when the phone rang.

Yay, in a way..

I just thought it would be interesting to do this, and that is post my predictions for apple and what will happen in the rest of 2008.

First off, the iPod will loose its 30 pin connection and be replaced with a mini or micro usb.
Second, the iPods will have the metallic paint that you see on cars which changes colour depending on the angle you are looking at your ipod (I think this would REALLY be cool)
Third, I think there is a small possibility of the iPod’s getting a camera built in, but I don’t think it’s out of the question.

Fourth, Macbook air is going to be renewed, even thinner and with a new design.
Fifth, Apple will introduce blu-ray to their imac range and possibly macbook pro/macbook range.
Sixth, Apple will give their laptops a fresh new look, possibly more glossy and possibly with black in the theme.
Seventh, price cuts galore, I saw this one coming months ago when they said the iPhone was going to be $199, they HAVE to reduce the price of the base line iPod touch which is currently $299. I reckon that iPod nano 8gb will drop to around about $150-199USD.
Eighth, New iPod interface, in conjunction with a new iTunes interface, I reckon it’s going to look more iPhoneish rather than the current white and blue.

Those are my predictions for the apple this year, there is more I could add to this list, but I’m happy with what is there.

Ok, so I was looking at this theme and I scrolled to the bottom of the page, I saw an advertisement, I’m thinking, who gives a free wordpress theme away with a bloody advert in it, a link to the creators site is fine, but a freaking advert link, no way.

So I went into my little themes folder, had a look at the files and there was only one sidebar file, so I decided to open them all up and have a good look to see where I could find the sidebar file (as there was also an advertisement holder in the side for me to put a custom advert pic in - which I don’t want.) So anyway, I found out that the sidebar stuff was also in the footer.php file, catch is, this is what I was hit with….

Ummm, in other words, that’s an encrypted .php file. In this encrypted code, it states that this website is Copyrighted by me ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, so I took this opportunity to record a little bit of the site, and volla, got rid of the advert.

Nice little story there for ya I guess :-S I dunno, but I’m liking the theme now that all the ads are gone!

No, I didn’t make this WP theme and I don’t plan to make any WP themes until I’m done making my other main sites.

Anyway, I’ve done a few little tweaks and mods to the theme, so I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think!

I personally give it a 7/10.

Anyway.. leave a comment, I think it looks pretty great.
