My iPredictions 2008

Author: Chris Morris  //  Category: Uncategorized

I just thought it would be interesting to do this, and that is post my predictions for apple and what will happen in the rest of 2008.

First off, the iPod will loose its 30 pin connection and be replaced with a mini or micro usb.
Second, the iPods will have the metallic paint that you see on cars which changes colour depending on the angle you are looking at your ipod (I think this would REALLY be cool)
Third, I think there is a small possibility of the iPod’s getting a camera built in, but I don’t think it’s out of the question.

Fourth, Macbook air is going to be renewed, even thinner and with a new design.
Fifth, Apple will introduce blu-ray to their imac range and possibly macbook pro/macbook range.
Sixth, Apple will give their laptops a fresh new look, possibly more glossy and possibly with black in the theme.
Seventh, price cuts galore, I saw this one coming months ago when they said the iPhone was going to be $199, they HAVE to reduce the price of the base line iPod touch which is currently $299. I reckon that iPod nano 8gb will drop to around about $150-199USD.
Eighth, New iPod interface, in conjunction with a new iTunes interface, I reckon it’s going to look more iPhoneish rather than the current white and blue.

Those are my predictions for the apple this year, there is more I could add to this list, but I’m happy with what is there.
Let me know what you think!

Just moments ago, the 3G iPhone was announced, 24 hours of audio playback, 7 of video, 5 to 6 on browsing, 5 talktime on 3g, 10 on 2g.

$199 - 8gb
$299 - 16gb (white version also available)

UPDATES:
The first 22 countries to receive the 3G iPhone on the 11th of July are as follows: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US.

The iPhone will be available in roughly 70 countries over the months after July
Not very much has changed apart from the fact that the back is totally plastic and comes in both black and white! It now has GPS, faster wifi than the N95, still no replaceable battery and no front side camera that we can see (yet to be confirmed) but apple has announced www.me.com to replace .mac and from what I gathered, you can upload pictures straight from your iphone to your account at me.com!

I am going to get one of these beauties, the price is too hard to resist.
As Apple said, half the price, twice as fast, well more like 2.8 times faster in the preview, but who cares, it’s HALF PRICE and has many more features.

The new iPhone also features the new 2.0 firmware which will be a free upgrade for any 2g iphone users. It also features many new impressive enhancements which will be added to this post shortly. SDK developers must be going wild developing for this thing!

This post will be updated as more information arrives.

WOW! 24 Years Ago we Though This Was GREAT!

That was the mac back then in 1984, WOW IT CAN TALK! LMAO! Alright, I guess back then that was a major accomplishment.

Well, there are going to be some design updates and modifications at Apples June event, here are some mock up pictures from MacRumors.com of what some users want it to look like - the macbookpro on the left and the macbook on the right.

I love the look of the one on the left, but yikes, there is like an inch of space either side of the screen being wasted.

I am going ot be making up a mockup of some of MY OWN hopes for the MBPs that are to be released/updated in design and hopefully functionality and performance this june, PLUS, a 3G iPhone may just pop up, and Australia could be the FIRST to get them, WOOT! SUCK ON THAT AMERICANS WHO GET THEIR IPHONES BEFORE US :P It actually doesn’t really bother me, I don’t want one, lol, so yeah, I guess you Americans can have it back now =P NOKIA FTW!!!
